*Please bring a check for your $35 dues or mail it to me at 220 Woodland Avenue, Winnetka. I would dearly like to wrap this up – we have about 15 outstanding. Given that we use this info as tree lot planning, if you are not planning to participate in scouting this year, please let me know ASAP.
*We are going to have some fun at our meeting tomorrow night with Knotfest, the chance to practice and learn the 8 Kenilworth Rally knots plus how to tie a necktie in preparation for all the holiday fun approaching. I still need some adults and senior scouts to volunteer to man the stations. We’ll have a raffle with some great prizes for our knot-learners.
*Tree lot tickets will be handed out at tomorrow night’s meeting and instructions will be given on sales. If your scout does not pick up his tickets, arrange to get them from his assistant scoutmaster. Tickets are $45 each and worth $50 at the tree lot. All scouts are asked to sell at least one book of ten tickets. Tom Fritts has wonderful prizes for the top ten sellers and all scouts who sell above ten tickets get a dollar in trade at TL Fritts or cash (your choice). THESE TICKETS ARE THE SAME AS CASH. ALL SCOUTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR SAFEKEEPING. Once you’ve sold ten tickets, turn them in at TL Fritts and get more if you so desire
*Veteran’s Day is next Tuesday and we are looking for scouts to participate in the Village of Winnetka ceremony to be held at the Winnetka Community House. Scouts need to be on hand at 4p to get flags, holsters, gloves, and the usual tiny bit of instruction. We’ll be done by 6p. Scouts earn service hours for participating but more importantly, this is an important civic duty that we are proud to attend.
