Please let me know if you will not be in town to help unload/sell trees for the Tree Lot on any of Thursday Nov 26, Friday Nov 27, Saturday Nov 28, and Sunday 29th. I am setting up work crew schedules and families that will be out of town those two days can make up the time on the nights when Scouts will be in the meetings. Please let me know by replying to this email if you will be out and which days you will be out of town.
All Life Scouts and a parent are required to come to the Life to Eagle meeting on Sunday 1:00-3:00 PM at the WPD Community Room. This is a mandatory meeting unless you reach out to me or Mr. Colley (Jcolley@bolerco.com)(directly and explain the conflict - as did a squared away scout last night (ex hockey game at exact same time).
As a reminder - if a scout is going to do a Merit Badge - they should reach out to me to get a Blue Card. There is a great deal of information on the website about Merit Badges and I suggest looking there as scouts turn attention to Merit Badges. I am encouraged that many of our Scouts doing the Cooking merit badge are also doing the Nuclear Science Merit Badge this weekend but I am wondering if our Devils Lake turkey is going to have a glow. Have fun in Madison guys.
I want to commend the large number of Scouts that came to the meeting during the Cubs game. It was an impressive turnout given the other events of the evening. I will also say that the overall appearance of the Scouts looks sharp. Thank you to everyone for the efforts - it shows.
If we have any Scouts interested in the 2017 National Jamboree, there will be a Council event to explain the Jamboree trip on Oct 25th from 2-3:30 PM at Stevenson High School - check in starts at 1:30 - uniforms are not required - information at www.neic.org/event.aspx?id=2237.
Lastly, please drop your $35 check made payable to Troop 20 off at my house or mail it to me at 730 Walden Road, Winnetka, IL 60093. I greatly appreciate everyone who has gotten me their check so far. If your son does not wish to continue with Troop 20, please email me. My best threat is to put the last family to get me a check in charge of collecting them next year. Please help me get this done as chasing money is taking away my time to work with the Scouts.
