We had a great campout last weekend with perfect weather. We are still collecting the photos but my favorite image was having to warm up the Homers ice cream by putting it into boiling water on the fire. Thank you Stealth for a good Friday night dinner. Also kudos to Robert Peterson, Everett Chung, and Brinton Roberts for working as ASPLs for the Wolverines.
We are still soliciting volunteers to work cleaning up the Skokie Garden this coming Saturday from 11:00-1:00 PM. Please reply to this email if you or your son is interested.
Any other active Staff members (high school scouts only) that want to sign up to go to see the 1871 startup Thinkboks (that John and Mr. RJ Dolan have helped found) on Oct 29th (NTHS is out that day) and learn about starting a digital business should email Mr. Dolan at (email@example.com). The group will depart at 9:00 AM and return at 2:00PM.
We are looking for a college age person (preferably a former scout) that could staff the Tree Lot during the days M-F. It is a paid position. Please contact Tom Fritts (firstname.lastname@example.org).
We have a large number of Merit Badges under way and I want to thank those parents and ASMs who have stepped up to help the Scouts find ways to do the Merit badges on non-camping weekends. I understand a group of the Stealth are working on the Nuclear Science Merit Badge in Wisconsin and a number of the Wolverines are going to the Field Museum for a full day Archaeology Badge. I also want to thank those parents who have stepped up to be Merit Badge Counselors for the Troop. It makes a big difference for us to be able to offer things locally so thank you.
We are also trying hard to get more information to scouts directly and make them more responsible for their scouting life. If your son is not on this email list and you would like him to receive information directly we will ADD his name. Please either have him contact me or email me directly with name and best email address.
