Another staff scuba class has been scheduled, beginning this Sunday. It will run for 5 consecutive Sundays from Noon to 4 PM. If you are an active member of the staff, meaning you have a leadership responsibility, have paid your dues and attend meetings, you're eligible. However, it begins this Sunday, November 8th and ends December 13th. You cannot miss a class. If you're interested, contact me no later than Thursday. We will provide all the equipment. Cost is $225, all of which is reimbursed to you once you complete your open water dives and complete all requirements for the scuba merit badge. Troop reimbursement is also dependent upon approval by the Troop Dad's Committee. Again, class dates are November 15, 22, 29, December 6 and 13 in my pool. We currently have 4 openings. Tom Fritts
Kenilworth Rally Prep
John Dolan, Michael, Richard, and Noah did a great job last night getting us started on the Kenilworth Rally Prep. Amazingly enough, two of the 6th grade patrols finished in the top three on their first night which is a testament to excellent teaching by the Staff/ASPLs as well as the hard work of the Wolverine Patrols. In order of finish (best to worst) - Turtle, Wolverine Blue, Wolverine Red, Moose, Wolverine White, Stealth 1, and then Stealth 2. Attached is an electronic study guide that can be printed out. Remember, the patrol who wins the Rally goes Paint Balling.
Christmas Tree Sales -
It feels to me like sales are picking up. I am hearing rumors of some scout selling 20-40 tickets. Last year's top winner was just over 100 tickets. Keep at it guys - we are already 1/3 of the way through the pre-sale season. A price list is attached at the bottom of this email.
Christmas Tree Lot shifts
I have attached a Troop Roster with email addresses organized by Tree Lot Crew. It is your responsibility to find a substitute if you are unable to make one of the shifts. I beg of you to please not email the whole troop when looking for a substitute. Please restrict your emails for shift changes to a few people at a time or use the Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/scouttroop20?ref=hl . When the swap is fully set - let your crew chief on the new and old crew know.
We have a new webmaster - all updates for the website should be sent to Jake Meiners - (JakeMeimail@gmail.com).
Reminder - we start promptly at 7:30 Pm for the next 3 meetings. Staff - the extra turnout last night really helped - we will need it for the next 3 meetings and I will need help on the night of the event - Dec 7th as well. ASPLs - you are needed to help your patrols win.
Mt. Hood/Cascades Trip.
We have a great turnout for the Trip. If you forgot to let me know if you are interested - let me know very fast - we are about to close out the list and start booking travel and vehicles. If there are any older scouts interested in being a Crew Chief - let me know.
Thank you - Scoutmaster Nat Roberts
